Follow these steps to link your platform account and get your verified role in any server!
Step 1: Link your platform account to Discord
Open Settings
Go to your profile (bottom right) and tap the Settings Gear ⚙️ in the top-right corner.
Select Connections
Tap on the Connections menu.
Expand Apps
Tap the +18 icon to reveal the full list of available apps.
Select Your Platform
Tap the icon for your platform — TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, or Roblox — from the grid.
Enable Visibility
Ensure both "Display on profile" and "Display details on profile" are toggled ON (Blue).
Finalize
Tap the Add button in the top-right corner to save the connection.
Step 2: Complete Server Verification
Start
In the verification channel, tap the Verify button for your platform on the bot’s message.
Authorize
Tap Connect Discord to Verify, then tap the final Authorize button on the pop-up.
Confirm 🎉
Once the browser shows the "Verified!" screen with a green checkmark, you are all set!
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about platform verification
Do you need my password?
No. You link your platform account to Discord through Discord’s own settings. The bot never sees your password.
What does the bot read?
Only your platform username from the connection you’ve already linked in Discord. Nothing else.
I linked my account to Discord but the bot says it’s not found.
Make sure your platform connection is visible in Discord → User Settings → Connections before clicking Verify. If it’s there, try clicking Verify again.
What if I linked the wrong account?
Remove the platform connection in Discord Connections, re-add the correct one, then click Verify again.
Can I be removed from the server based on my account?
Yes. Admins can look up and action any member by their platform username. If you’re blocked on that platform, they may remove you from the server.
Do I need to re-verify if I change my username?
Yes. If your platform username changes, ask an admin to manually re-verify you or go through verification again.

3. User Responsibilities

Verify accounts that do not belong to you

When you use the Bot, we may collect:
Discord User ID - To assign roles and maintain server verification records
Platform Username - Your username on TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, or Roblox to verify account ownership
Platform ID - Recorded to log which account was verified
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for:
Verification: Confirming you own the platform account you claim
Role Assignment: Granting the verified role upon successful verification
Service Operation: Ensuring the Bot functions correctly
We do NOT: Sell your data, store your platform bio content, access your platform account, post on your behalf, or share your information with advertisers.
3. Data Storage & Retention
The Bot stores the minimum data required to operate and to keep an audit trail:
Connect session state (short-lived) to complete the OAuth flow safely
Verified list (Discord ID ↔ platform username/ID, verified timestamp) so servers can keep verified roles consistent
Verification log entries for moderation/audit and troubleshooting
The Bot uses a database (typically Redis) to persist the verified list and verification logs so moderators can audit and manage access.
Important: When using platform OAuth connect, the bot exchanges a short-lived code for an access token to fetch basic profile info. It does not store platform access tokens or refresh tokens.

Discord Connections Verification
This bot verifies users by reading their platform connections from Discord. Users link their account (TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, or Roblox) to Discord once (User Settings → Connections), then authorize the bot to read it. No separate OAuth, no scraping, no bio codes.
Verified role: assigned instantly after the user authorizes
Platform username: captured and stored for moderation
Access gating: lock channels for @everyone and allow the Verified role

How Verification Works
User joins the server and sees only#verify-here.
User links their platform account to Discord: User Settings → Connections → Add (TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, or Roblox).
User clicks Verify for their platform in #verify-here.
User clicks Connect Discord to Verify — a one-click Discord OAuth prompt.
Bot reads their linked platform username from Discord connections.
Bot logs the username and assigns the Verified Role instantly.
User gains full access to the server.
Verification completes instantly after the user authorizes via Discord. The bot reads their linked platform username, logs it, and assigns the Verified role — all in one click.

Your server needs exactly three roles:

Lookup finds which Discord user verified a given username. Unverify removes verification (with optional kick/ban) by platform username.
Troubleshooting
User sees "No connection found"
The user has not linked the platform account to Discord yet.
Tell them: User Settings → Connections → Add → select TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, or Roblox, then try again.
Make sure they are linking the correct account.
User clicks "Connect Discord to Verify" but nothing happens
Try a different browser or disable strict tracking/privacy blockers.
Make sure the user completes the Discord authorization prompt (don’t cancel).
If they are not redirected back, they can click the verify button again.
Bot cannot assign the Verified Role
The bot’s role must be above the Verified Role in Server Settings → Roles.
Check that the Verified Role has been set with /set-verified-role.
If all else fails:
Admins can use /manual-verify to manually verify a user.
Check /verification-log to see if the attempt was recorded.
Best Practices
✅ Keep #verify-here at the top of the channel list.
✅ Never move the bot role below Verified.
✅ Never enable View Channel for @everyone outside #verify-here.
✅ Pin instructions in the verification channel.
✅ Test with a secondary Discord account.
